Accenture Federal Services is helping US Federal Agencies use data, analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to reinvent their enterprises and optimize business functions for breakthrough innovation and enhanced national security and public satisfaction. Our Decision Science practice brings the latest advances in data science, data engineering and AI to the federal space. Balancing innovation with safety, security, and risk management, we support agencies from strategic assessments through the development and deployment of scalable generative AI applications.

As a Data Operations Specialist, you serve on a cross-functional team formulating real-world problems into practical, efficient, and scalable AI, Machine Learning, Operations Research, cloud and technology platform solutions. You work collaboratively within a geographically distributed team, exploring and implementing data management techniques to solve real-world problems. You have an understanding and ability to remain at the forefront of knowledge about generative AI, LLM, and multi-modal models, with a focus on exposing new datasets to the content generation function. You understand approaches to data visualization, data engineering, data architecture, application architecture, data science, machine learning and human-centered design, and support cross-functional teams with varied tasks to ensure use of quality data.

The Work:

  • Maintain a visible presence with the client, account leadership and project team members and stakeholders through style recognition and relationship building, and effective written and verbal communications about your data management contributions, such as data model diagrams, data catalogs, business rules matrices and architectural diagrams.

  • Support discussions to gather data requirements; provide data governance, data management and data architecture suggestions to help solve business problems.

  • Collaborate with diverse, cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data management requirements, ensuring that the approach meets the needs and expectations of stakeholders.

  • Develop and execute data solutions with team, timeline, fiscal and infrastructure dependencies, that includes integration with larger efforts around solution planning, design, build, testing, deployment, service introduction, change management, project management and service support.

  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail in designing and documenting data application interfaces and data flows from multiple source tables and objects to more efficient data structures.

  • Enable team design, development, testing and implementation of AI/ML models, especially LLM and other Generative AI models.

  • Create positive experiences and deliveries contributing to functional and non-functional testing, including test strategy development, data verification and validation efforts with the client, and data quality testing.

  • Contribute to co-creation of user, technical and project management documentation, facilitating understanding, knowledge transfer and future development.

  • Be prepared to support activities on the on-site delivery lead or scrum master, during temporary periods of absence.

Here's What You Need:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with data in an information technology environment: data management tasks such as data queries, data quality management, application programming interfaces (API), extract-transform-load (ETL) operations, database design and administration.

  • Proficient programming skills with a language suited for data operations such as SQL, Scala or Python.

  • Experience with DevOps or DevSecOps continuous development/continuous improvement pipelines using development applications such as Azure DevOps or Github.

  • Experience and ability to develop and manage application and system documentation such as requirements traceability matrices, test reports and run books.

  • Experience appropriately managing data and information in a DoD or Federal controlled information domain.

  • Strong presentation and written communications skills, and interest in developing presentations and other requirements or change management documents.

  • Minimum of an Associate's degree.

  • Active Secret clearance or Interim Secret clearance.

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia . The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia is:

$87,800—$142,199 USD
