Universal Health Services DIETITIAN in HUNTINGTON, West Virginia

Responsibilities

This PRN opportunity as a Dietitian offers a flexible schedule. Responsible for the nutritional care, treatment, rehabilitation and education to patients based on patient assessments of needs, conditions, impairments, disabilities and age. Duties include assessing nutritional status, developing care plans, educating patients and families, calculating nutritional and actual intakes and preparing special diets.

RATE OF PAY: $50/HR.

River Park Hospital, a 165-bed facility and a leader in behavioral health care, located in Huntington, WV. River Park provides acute inpatient services to children, adolescents, adults and seniors and features a 22-bed residential treatment program for children and adolescents and a 25-bed adult forensic unit. Qualifications

Dietitian Job Requirements:

Education:Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or a closely related field approved by the American Dietetic

Association (ADA).

Experience: Completed a CADE-accredited supervised practice program at a healthcare facility, community

agency, or a foodservice corporation, or combined with undergraduate or graduate studies.

Typically, a practice program will run six to twelve months in length.

Technical Skills:Computer proficiency to include word processing, spreadsheets and databases.

License/Certification:Valid registration as a Registered Dietician from the ADA. Current License by State of West Virginia as

Dietitian. Specialty certification (CDE, CNSD, CSP, CDR) may be required for a specialty position.

Other:Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patient.
