Extrusion Operator
Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and skilled individuals to join our team as 2nd Shift Extrusion Operators. In this role, candidates will be trained on operating a variety of extrusion equipment, including setting up machines based on production orders, maintaining production quality, obtaining samples for quality control, labeling, and packing finished products.
Responsibilities
Operate extrusion equipment efficiently and safely.
Check operating controls and ensure the safety of equipment prior to operation.
Obtain materials for processing from inventory bins, and notify supervisors of any damaged, defective, or missing materials.
Set up machines based on production orders.
Monitor material quality for defects and adjust machine parameters as needed.
Label and pack finished products according to work order instructions.
Review work orders and drawings, resolving any conflicts.
Wear a respirator when performing machine setup.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
Comply with OHSA safety standards when performing job duties.
Notify supervisors or managers of any potential safety hazards.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 2 years of experience in machine operation.
Experience working with large machines and materials.
Proficiency in general production, packaging, material handling, construction, and extrusion.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
Experience in heavy general labor, heavy machine operating, carpentry, or construction.
Good attendance record.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong teamwork skills.
Ability to learn quickly and efficiently.
Self-motivated with patience.
Some power tool and mechanical skills.
Interest in operating machines.
Basic Microsoft Office skills.
Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally.
Stable job tenure.
Additional Information:
Extrusion department:
• 3 Positions: Schedule - 2B: 3pm-11:30pm , OFF SUN/MON, $22.50/hr. (Trains for 3-4 months on 1A, 7am-3:30pm Off Fri/Sat OR 3A, 11pm-7:30am Off Fri/Sat)
• 1 Position: Schedule - 2C: 3pm-11:30pm , OFF WED/THURS, $23/hr. (Trains for 3-4 months on 1A, 7am-3:30pm Off Fri/Sat OR 3A, 11pm-7:30am Off Fri/Sat)Should be flexible to work OT.
- OT is on a volunteer basis.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $23.00/hr.
