Mercury Systems Test Technician in Hudson, New Hampshire
Job Summary: The Senior Test Technician is responsible for performing troubleshooting, high level debug and testing of printed circuit boards to validate product performance under various conditions, ensuring compliance with MIL-STD-810, DO-160, and customer specifications. This role involves operating, analyzing, and diagnosing issues on module level circuit boards. The role will require the use of environmental test equipment, maintaining detailed documentation, and supporting engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-quality products. Job Responsibilities: * Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure reliability. * Conduct test, diagnostics, and debug of complex circuit boards according to specifications. * Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or test setup issues. * Record, analyze, and report test results, ensuring accuracy and completeness. * Collaborate with engineering teams to refine test procedures, support product design improvements, and prototype/characterize new products. * Ensure adherence to safety protocols and compliance with relevant standards. * Test equipment such as Oscilloscopes / DMM’s (Digital Multimeters) / Bus Analyzers / Linux Based Utilities. * Support Team approach circuit analyzing and debugging failures from RMA’s and WIP. * Communicate goals and priorities with management to maintain deadlines. * Cross train new employees to support as back-up for debug on their projects. * Work from schematics, work instructions, drawings, and operating procedures. * Other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business. Required Qualifications: * Associate degree in electronics, engineering technology, or a related fields in electrical engineering or similar. * Proficiency in operating test systems, and strong analytical abilities. * Effective verbal and written communication skills. * Proficient knowledge with HEX and Binary and the ability to translate back and forth between the two. * Knowledge in multi power PCBA circuitry. * Familiarity with temperature related debug efforts, electronic circuit analysis and sinusoidal electronic signal analysis. * Understanding of state machines/power stages via Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA). * Excellent debug communication utilizing various tracing methods. * Minimum 5 years of work experience with digital and analog electronics testing and debugging at the component level. * Significant experience with lab test equipment. * Ability to read circuit schematic drawings and use diagnostic tools such as Oscilloscopes and DMMs. * Familiarity with CAD based programs such as Cadence and Allegro. Must be able to utilize signal names for troubleshooting. * Ability to follow test procedures, and independently diagnose and solve hardware-related problems in a timely manner. * Team player with positive attitude. Specific abilities required by this job include near, far and color vision acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. * Requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina. Ability to safely control surgical razor blades and small hand tools used to manipulate tuning stub under a microscope.
