Sheet Metal Installer - Houston, TX!

Job Description

We are looking for experienced sheet metal/structures candidates with at least 5 years of experience. This role requires someone who can not only fabricate but also read drawings and bend boxes, effectively acting as a full-blown installer. Under limited supervision, you will be fabricating parts, assemblies, and antenna doublers, and installing them in specified aircraft locations, both pressurized and non-pressurized. You will also identify engineering discrepancies and collaborate with leadership and engineering teams to find alternate solutions as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Install fabricated parts, assemblies, and antenna doublers in specified aircraft locations.

  • Identify and solve engineering discrepancies with the help of leadership and engineering teams.

  • Identify locations for secondary avionics system components such as relays, terminal strips, terminal blocks, heat sinks, etc.

  • Display adequate troubleshooting skills.

  • Disassemble and reassemble aircraft interiors, instrument panels, and avionics equipment bays using proper handling and storage techniques.

Essential Skills

  • At least 3-4 years of experience in sheet metal/structures installation.

  • Ability to read drawings and bend boxes.

  • Experience with airframe, installation, and repair of aircraft structures.

  • Proficiency in working with sheet metal.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with service bulletins.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills.

Work Environment

You will work in both climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled hangar environments. The role requires flexibility and adaptability to varying working conditions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
