Weatherford Sr. Manager, Consolidations in Houston, Texas

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to oversee our global consolidations function. This role is responsible for the leadership of the Consolidations team, while partnering closely with our Shared Services Organization and global field teams to ensure the accurate and timely completion of the monthly accounting close process. As a key advisor to the Director of Corporate Accounting, this role will provide insights into consolidated financial statements and significant accounting transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the Consolidations team, fostering professional development and high performance.

  • Manage the global consolidation process across all entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP.

  • Partner with global finance teams and the Shared Services Organization to drive the close process and resolve complex accounting issues.

  • Act as a key advisor to the Director of Corporate Accounting on consolidated financial statements and significant accounting transactions or events.

  • Oversee the preparation of internal consolidated financial reports, including trend analysis and variance commentary for executive leadership.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of the consolidation process.

  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely and complete delivery of audit requests and supporting schedules.

  • Stay informed on changes in accounting standards and assess their impact on consolidated reporting.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.

Experience

  • 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a consolidation leadership role.

Skills & Abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP (or IFRS) and financial reporting requirements for global organizations.

  • Proven ability to lead teams, influence cross-functional departments, and drive results.

  • Strong understanding of intercompany eliminations, currency translation, and the consolidation process.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and provide clear, concise reports to senior leadership.

  • Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in all work.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across various departments and levels of the organization.

  • Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with financial reporting in a publicly traded or multinational environment.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
