Job Description

A utilities client in the Houston area is looking for three Network Engineers to join their team. One will be mid-level with around 5 years of experience and the other two will be Senior Network Engineers. They will be joining the Substation Operations team.They will be configuring, installing, and maintaining network switches and routers in a Cisco environment. They will be troubleshooting issues in the field and training the individuals out in the field. There will be periodic trips out to the field to attend kick off meetings and make sure everything is up to par. The trip swill be all over the Houston metro area. Experience utilizing various network management tools such as NetScout, Cisco Prime and DNA Center, Cisco Wireless Controllers are necessary to monitor the environment. Additional duties may involve providing network diagnostics support for remote clients, support for critical outages working with a multi-discipline team, and install, configure, and maintain wireless infrastructure. Lastly, both written and verbal communication skills are required.

Skills and Requirements

5+ of Experience as a Network Engineer (greater than 5 years for the two senior openings)

Supervisory experience for Senior Network Engineer level

Experience maintaining a Cisco IOS environment

Nerc-CIP knowledge

Fortinet firewall experience

Cyber Security experience

Comfortable occasionally working in a high voltage environment

Self-managed, self-starter and self-motivating individual SCADA operations experience

Utilities industry experience

Substation Operations experience null
