This Opportunity

Currently seeking a Senior Industrial Hygienist team member for our Austin, Texas office! Will consider locations as Dallas and Houston, as well. Come join a great team with a hybrid work environment today!

Your Impact

  • This opportunity has Seller/Doer focus; Business development experience and focus can be government and/or private sector. Experience with multiple sectors preferred.

  • Candidate must have experience and knowledge regarding the local client market sectors and have an established client base.

  • Responsible for assisting in sales and marketing efforts of Safety and Occupational Health (IH) services to both private and government clients.

  • May be responsible for managing IH specialists, assisting in the coordination of group member assignments, and mentoring junior staff.

  • Will be required to conduct technical IH related surveys and assessments.

  • Responsible for managing projects, task order contracts and completing projects of moderate size and complexity.

  • Directs and supervises technical assignments (both field & office) for all staff in the IH group.

  • Prepare, direct and review technical reports, proposals and cost estimates.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)

  • BS degree in IH or related science or engineering field.

  • A minimum of 8 yrs experience in the IH field required with a minimum of 4 yrs business development experience.

  • Staff management and leadership ability.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to prepare reports and proposals.

  • Operational knowledge of IH monitoring equipment.

  • Operational knowledge of computer databases and office programs (e.g., MS SharePoint, MS Excel, MS Word).

  • Candidate must have a collaborative approach, willing to work with other WSP offices to cross-market service lines and work towards larger project opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Over 5 years of Consulting experience.

  • Professional Engineering license (PE) or ability to do so within one year.

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)

  • MS degree preferred
