Currently seeking a Senior Industrial Hygienist team member for our Austin, Texas office! Will consider locations as Dallas and Houston, as well. Come join a great team with a hybrid work environment today!
Your Impact
This opportunity has Seller/Doer focus; Business development experience and focus can be government and/or private sector. Experience with multiple sectors preferred.
Candidate must have experience and knowledge regarding the local client market sectors and have an established client base.
Responsible for assisting in sales and marketing efforts of Safety and Occupational Health (IH) services to both private and government clients.
May be responsible for managing IH specialists, assisting in the coordination of group member assignments, and mentoring junior staff.
Will be required to conduct technical IH related surveys and assessments.
Responsible for managing projects, task order contracts and completing projects of moderate size and complexity.
Directs and supervises technical assignments (both field & office) for all staff in the IH group.
Prepare, direct and review technical reports, proposals and cost estimates.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
BS degree in IH or related science or engineering field.
A minimum of 8 yrs experience in the IH field required with a minimum of 4 yrs business development experience.
Staff management and leadership ability.
Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to prepare reports and proposals.
Operational knowledge of IH monitoring equipment.
Operational knowledge of computer databases and office programs (e.g., MS SharePoint, MS Excel, MS Word).
Candidate must have a collaborative approach, willing to work with other WSP offices to cross-market service lines and work towards larger project opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
Over 5 years of Consulting experience.
Professional Engineering license (PE) or ability to do so within one year.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
MS degree preferred
