Siemens Energy Rotor Balance Technician in Houston, Texas


Your profile

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Proficient in the use of Schenck Cab 920 instrumentation orequivalent

  • Ability to read and comprehend mechanical drawings, writtenprocedures and or verbal directions

  • Proficient use of precision measurement tools. CMM experience aplus.

  • Greater than average reading, writing and arithmetic skillsrequired

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the UnitedStates without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible forinternal transfers

Your responsibilities

  • Disassembles and Assembles work piece(s) using cranes, handtooling, heating, and cutting equipment.

  • Perform detailed inspection and verification of components withmechanical drawings.

  • Creates a clear and precise writtendescription of component conditions.

  • Repair rotor components by grinding, blending, alignment and orother approved methods.

  • Assembly and low speed balance of rotor and or rotor components incompliance with written or verbal procedures.

  • Compiles and completes all project associated documentation forfinal report.

  • Maintains equipment, tooling, and work areain a neat and orderly condition.

The Houston Service Center rotor department is responsible for the disassembly, inspection, repairs, reassembly and dynamic balance of OEM and Non-OEM centrifugal compressor and steam turbine rotors.

The HSC rotor department works as a team within a team to ensure that all projects are completed safely, correctly in support of Siemens Energy’s commitment to being the industry’s ”Premier Service Provider”.
