Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Production Supervisor to join our South Texas Concrete team in Houston, TX .

What you’ll get to do

  • Ensuring a safe working environment and environmental compliance, direct the ready-mix concrete operations to achieve maximum productivity, efficiency and quality while maintaining production costs.

  • Coordinate and plan production schedules to meet market needs.

  • Analyze plant performance and evaluate modifications and capital improvements to increase efficiencies and reduce costs.

  • Oversee maintenance of concrete plants and fleet of mixer trucks and bulk cement haul trucks.

  • Implement and achieve organizations goals.

  • Work with production and sales organizations to identify and develop opportunities to introduce new or modified products to customer groups and expand market share.

  • Actively participate in local and national professional associations.

  • Participate in forecasting, budgeting and planning strategies.

  • Excellent personal interaction and organizational skills as well as presentation and leadership skills.

  • Computer competency using Outlook, MS Office, PowerPoint.

  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Houston Area.

Essential Experience and Skills

  • Minimum of five years progressive ready-mix concrete operations management experience; including ready-mix concrete production and associate equipment, and fleet management.

  • Excellent personal interaction and organizational skills as well as presentation and leadership skills.

  • Computer competency using Outlook, MS Office, PowerPoint.

  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Houston Area.

Work Environment

  • Role operates primarily a professional office environment but requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise level.
