Full-time and Part Time Opportunities; All Shifts Available
You will be the first and last impression with our client’s patients and visitors.
Providing a warm welcome, safe entry process and a compassionate experience to our hospital patients and visitors, you will transport our company to new horizons.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Confer with doctors and nurses and take orders for patient transport activities
Assist patients move out of their beds, wheelchairs, stretchers or medical transport vans
Provide physical support to patients attempting to walk their way to a procedure room
Provide emotional support to patients and their families by listening to them and showing compassion and understanding
Talk emotionally challenged or disturbed patients throughout the transport time with a view to put their minds at ease
Ensure that patients are present in a procedure room per schedule
Ensure appropriate identification of patients prior to shifting or transporting them
Make sure that method of patient transportation and specials needs assistance information of individual patients is acquired prior to patient pick up
Provide guidance to hospital visitors and patients’ families
Any other duties as instructed by supervisors and hospital staff
Ability to use discretion and courtesy when working with patients, visitors, and staff.
In accordance with established protocols, incumbent will screen patients, employees, and visitors by administering temperature readings and health screening questionnaire. Incumbent will provide appropriate guidance using established procedures for individuals who don’t meet screening standards.
Participates in a collaborative identification and reporting of patient safety issues, and ensures safe patient environment; seeks assistance with removal of any potential safety hazard from room and reports findings to the registered nurse.
Demonstrates safe work practices and attitudes; follows safety rules; works to prevent unsafe conditions and behaviors; and participates in organizational and department safety programs.
Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
High School degree preferred.
Ability to understand verbal and written instruction and communicate clearly and effectively with hospital staff and respond quickly to patient behavioral changes.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when working with other employees, patients, visitors and other hospital staff.
Ability to perform duties requiring prolonged and/or extensive sitting, standing, and walking.
Must be personable, friendly and love working with people.
Must have Current AHA approved CPR Basic Life Support certification or be willing to obtain one
