Your Role at KIK

Join our team as a Machine Tender and be responsible for operating and maintaining packaging machinery. Duties include coordinating product runs, staging raw materials, performing equipment troubleshooting and maintenance, conducting quality checks, attending safety meetings, and ensuring compliance with manufacturing standards and procedures. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Operate filling equipment including labelers, cappers, palletizers, and case erectors

  • Coordinate with Filling Master Operator line lead to ensure correct product runs

  • Stage raw materials such as corrugate, caps, bottles, and labels

  • Ensure bottle codes are accurate

  • Perform basic troubleshooting and size changeovers on equipment

  • Conduct start-up, shutdown, and wash-down procedures

  • Conduct quality checks per manufacturing standards

  • Perform clean-up duties during and after shifts

  • Attend safety meetings and participate in safety programs

  • Address safety violations and write work orders

  • Maintain safety and cleanliness in work area

  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and plant policies

What You’ll Bring

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required

  • Machine Operator experience in a Packaging/Filling industry

  • Production knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods

  • Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance

  • Basic Mathematics skills of arithmetic and statistics, and their applications

  • Possibility of working around unpleasant odors

  • Working in non-temperature-controlled environment

  • Possibility of working around high noise levels, depending on location

  • Constant interaction with a variety of chemicals and chemical products

  • Must be able to lift 45lbs

  • Must be able to work overtime where necessary

  • Must be able to work in accordance with Health and Safety and GMP regulations
