Job Description:

The Lead Scheduler will support NASA under the CPSS contract at Johnson Space Center. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Executive schedule analyst that works closely with Government program/project leadership to strategically guide, integrate, and analyze schedule performance.

  • Provide expertise to distribute, manage, and coordinate technical schedules for large scale and medium scale programs to include Integrated Master Plans (IMPs) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMSs)

  • Experienced with the implementation and management of integrated scheduling tools to provide expert guidance and implementation support to project control personnel in the integration of schedule and resource data through resource loaded schedules within an automated schedule management tool.

  • Thorough understanding of EIA-748 standard Earned Value Management (EVM) principles as they relate to schedule and technical performance measures.

  • Has extensive experience in the use of various commercial schedule management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project and Primavera) and analytical tools (e.g., Acumen Fuse).

  • Has extensive experience with the implementation of probabilistic schedule risk assessment and schedule health processes and techniques.

  • Ability to collaborate with wide range of personnel across NASA Centers, other government agencies, industry regarding matters concerning program/project scheduling.

  • Provide guidance on overall structure and oversee integration of schedules across programs and projects

  • Support programs and projects reporting cycles with schedule products as required.

  • Expert knowledge and practice in program/project analysis.

  • Expert knowledge and experience with spaceflight hardware development projects.

  • Expert knowledge of the development and integration of project technical requirements with cost and schedule projections, performance measurement, and workforce allocations.

  • Excellent communication skills to interface with customers. The contractor shall be capable of interfacing with Center Institutional Offices, programs/projects offices, NASA-HQ and Mission Directorates.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications, such as Excel, Word and Project.

  • Assist project personnel in interfacing with program and project offices at other NASA Centers.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 20 years of applicable experience.

  • 15 years of Aerospace or Research and Development experience.

  • Proficient Microsoft Project user

  • Experience performing probabilistic schedule risk analysis and schedule health analysis.

  • Experience using Milestones Professional and schedule risk tools (Full Monte, Acumen Fuse, etc.) desired.

  • Basic understanding of EIA-748 standard earned value management (EVM) principles.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other related certifications desirable

  • Membership with the Project Management Institute (PMI) and/or the College of Performance Management (CPM) a plus.
