Houston Methodist Finance Information Data Analyst in Houston, Texas
At Houston Methodist, the Financial Information Data Analyst position is responsible for identifying appropriate information sources in order to effectively report and evaluate the accuracy of the key data elements in clinical and financial databases. This position generates reports representing statistical/financial information in graphical and other presentation forms as needed for operational and financial decision making. The Financial Information Data Analyst position is responsible for identifying errors, resolving discrepancies and making recommendations in support of routine operations of assigned financial and/or operational area.

SERVICE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintains department-level or hospital-level systems by the addition of new data and validation of data as appropriate.
Generates financial reports (in graphical and other presentation forms as needed) and makes sure they are accurate and released on a timely basis according to established schedules and client needs.
QUALITY/SAFETY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Evaluates the accuracy of defined key data elements in financial systems and works to resolve inaccuracies.
Follows standards in support of accuracy and timeliness.
FINANCE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Analyzes variances found in audits in order to evaluate possible causes and refers to department leadership as appropriate.
Utilizes resources effectively and efficiently, demonstrating responsible financial stewardship. Manages own time effectively and prioritizes work to achieve maximum results in a timely manner
GROWTH/INNOVATION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Stays up-to-date on reporting processing that might affect data integrity.
Proactively problem solves when challenges present themselves.
Proactively manages own professional development. Completes My Development Plan. (MDP)

EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field
WORK EXPERIENCE
- One year experience in budget or cost accounting and analysis preferred
