Honeywell Finance Director, CFO in Houston, Texas
We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Finance Director on an at least 3-year secondment basis. The secondment is expected to begin on June 19, 2025 and will run through June 19, 2028 with the possibility of return to your position upon completion, in accordance with company guidelines.
As the Finance Director, CFO you will be a key member of the business’ leadership team. This role will manage all aspects of the company's financial operations, playing a crucial role in strategic decision-making and ensuring the company's financial health and long-term growth. This role will oversee financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for our Battery electrolyte organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as the lead financial advisor to the business leadership team, provide financial leadership and drive financial performance of the business.
Responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business’ operations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the business during its project stage and beyond.
As a newly formed business, this role will require the setup and establishment of all financial operations from the ground up, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and compliance
Provide financials analysis, reporting and decision-making support for key business activities including:
Sales and margin analysis
Customer & Product-line profitability analysis
Commercial Deal Analysis (pricing, terms, level of service, value capture)
Business Case Development around new business capture and growth opportunities
Provide financial analysis and support to the business in the Sales, Inventory and Operating Plan (SIOP) process, specifically in the area of demand forecasting
Drive all key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics
Implement strategies to manage working capital effectively, including accounts receivable and accounts payable
Lead the business Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process as well as actively participate in the business’ Strategic Plan (STRAP) process
Foster a strong internal control environment within the business. Key areas include controls in revenue recognition, sales accounting, commercial contract management and financial reporting processes
Proactively support business with ad hoc analysis related to new contracts, royalty payments and product pricing adjustments
Monitor and analyses budgetary performance regularly to identify areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvement
Monitor capital requests and expenditures to ensure within budget and plan
Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate Generally Accepted
Accounting Principles and other regulatory requirements
Maintain internal control safeguards and coordinate all audit activities
Ensure that the business is in continuous compliance with all statutory, regulatory, banking, tax, and other external and internal operating, reporting and record keeping requirements to which the business is subject
Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.
YOU MUST HAVE
Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial analysis or related roles
Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.
Excellent (proficient) English language and Chinese language skills
WE VALUE
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics; MBA Preferred
FP&A, P&L experience within a business
Experience with a chemical-related business
Experience with import transactions
Strong technical knowledge of finance systems
Operational business experience
Excellent communication and influencing skills
Factory and cost accounting
Self-motivated, driving business initiatives
Demonstrates ability to deliver on complex situations
Conveys information with clarity and directness
