Honeywell Director IT, EA/New Tech in Houston, Texas
As a Director of IT here at Honeywell, you will provide visionary leadership for our Advanced Materials business unit, specifically focusing on enterprise architecture and new technology. You will lead a small team of IT Architects responsible for establishing and maintaining standards, providing architecture solutions to IT projects and leveraging IT to drive business value through transformation. Your role will be crucial in shaping the technical direction of the organization and ensuring the successful implementation of new technologies that align with the company's strategic objectives.
You will report to our Data & Architecture Leader who is responsible for IT services used across all functions including program management, business partnership, Data & Analytics, GenAI, and Architecture. You will work out of our Morris Plains, Charlotte or Houston locations on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will have a significant impact on the organization by driving the adoption of new technologies, enhancing organizational efficiency, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. You will collaborate with other senior leaders to define project priorities, allocate resources, and ensure the achievement of strategic outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Contribute to the development of information technology strategies, roadmaps, and standards ensuring alignment with company goals

Act as a key point of contact for technical issues, providing effective communication and resolution strategies
Champion the adoption of new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance organizational efficiency and competitiveness
Identify opportunities for process improvement within the IT lifecycle, implementing best practices and driving a culture of continuous improvement
Effectively communicate with executive leadership, providing regular updates on the status of IT initiatives, resource allocation, and strategic achievements
Drive strategy to build effective teams ensuring talent strategies and succession planning are in place

This position is intended to convey to the new, independent company, to be named Solstice Advanced Materials when the separation occurs. This is expected to occur in late 2025 or early 2026.

YOU MUST HAVE
8+ years of experience leading IT projects
Strong proficiency in enterprise architecture and new technology
Solid understanding of IT best practices, design patterns, and architecture principles
WE VALUE
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members
Industry-recognized certifications such as TOGAF or Zachman, ITIL and/or Six Sigma
Proven experience in enterprise architecture and new technology implementation
Experience with IT audits and compliance assessments
Involvement in industry IT networks and organizations
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Passion for innovation and continuous learning
