LANE STAFFING INC Construction Inspector in Houston, Texas

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Construction Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects comply with all relevant codes, regulations, and standards. This role requires a strong understanding of construction management, quality inspection, and the ability to analyze schematics and blueprints effectively. The Construction Inspector will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and quality on construction sites.

Responsibilities

  • Facilities Maintenance Construction Inspector Responsible for the onsite inspections of on-going construction rehab projects related to facilities interior and exterior rehab, including but not limited to, facility painting, restriping, replacement of ceiling tiles, light fixtures, replacement and or installation of carpeting, cove base, windows, doors. Installation of iron and or chain link fencing, vehicle and pedestrian gates, replacement in kind of industrial equipment.
  • Makes field site inspections or visits as necessary to ensure work is being executed per plans and specifications
  • Responsible for inspection of the rehabilitation projects assigned involving but not limited to sidewalk/pavement/concrete curb repairs, public facilities stripping, and structural rehabs (to include interior/exterior painting)
  • Conducted detailed inspections, identify and document existing condition surveys, collaborated with teams, and ensured compliance with codes and regulations
  • Created detailed inspection reports of site findings and requirements.
  • Review Site Safety Specific and Traffic Control Plans
  • Assists with the coordination of project activities between department/divisions (Planning, Construction, Contracts, etc.) through all project phases.
  • Participates in interdepartmental and outside agency meetings. 6
  • Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Promotes safety awareness and follows safety procedures to reduce or eliminate accidents.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

OI MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: 1. 2. 3. 4. Education Requirement (Diploma/Degrees must be from accredited institutions): High school or GED required. Bachelors degree in related field preferred (e.g., Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management).

Minimum of three (3) years experience in construction inspection in Facilities Management related projects. Advance skills to read blueprints and facility drawings.

Requires a valid Texas drivers license.

Must have at a minimum OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Training Certification (OSHA 30-Hour Safety Training Certification preferred)
