Robert Half Commercial Assistant Property Manager in Houston, Texas
Description Our client located in Galleria area of Houston, TX is seeking an Assistant Property Manager focusing on Accounts Payable using MRI Software to assist in the management of rental properties, specifically focusing on the accounts payable aspects. They also help manage the financial activities of the property, including processing payments, keeping track of expenses, and ensuring financial transactions are accurate and timely.
Their responsibilities may include:
Processing, verifying, and recording invoices and payments in a timely manner using MRI Software.
Reconciling invoice discrepancies and handling vendor inquiries related to payment issues.
Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Managing tenant billing, tracking late payments, and pursuing debt collection if required.
Coordinating with property managers to ensure all financial transactions are accurately accounted for.
Maintaining digital and physical records of invoices and contracts.
Issuing payments to vendors and service providers.
Helping the property manager prepare for annual budgeting and auditing processes.
Liaising with suppliers, contractors, and other external parties regarding payment schedules and queries.
Assisting with other property management tasks as needed.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounts payable processes and excellent knowledge of MRI Software. They should also be detail-oriented, organized, and possess good communication and problem-solving skills. Prior experience in a similar role within the property management industry would be desirable.
