KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Honeywell Performance Materials & Technologies (PMT) has an excellent opportunity for a CFO of our Smart Energy (SME) Americas Business Unit, based in Houston, TX. The position reports to the SETS (Smart Energy & Thermal Solutions) Chief Financial Officer and supports and partners with the VPGM, SME Americas. As you will act as virtual COO to the Organization, co-owning the P&L, explaining deviations and making recommendations whilst building the financial capabilities & expertise of a team of 8 and a P&L of $0.8B. You will also be involved in key customer conversations, offerings and customer analyses as well as strategically participate in M&A due diligence and financial integration activities.

  • Partner with business VP/GM and functional leaders to optimize financial results

  • Provide leadership to a team of commercial finance professionals

  • Lead financial planning processes: forecasting, annual operating plan, strategic plan

  • Drive process-oriented operation system

  • Manage financial risks and opportunities and ensure financial controls

  • Evaluate business cases and commercial proposals

  • Provide in-depth analysis of financials

  • Drive excellence in software pricing and COGS management

  • Implement key strategic decisions to achieve committed performance

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Significant FP&A, P&L experience within a product business which leverages channel

  • Experience leading a business with an international manufacturing footprint

  • Proven track record of building talent bench and driving organizational effectiveness & change

  • Entrepreneurial, agile, resilient mindset

  • “Best in class” communication and influencing skills

  • Comfortable acting as an organization’s COO in the CFO capacity

  • Finance Acumen. Direct experience from a large-scale segment FP&A or CFO role in a multinational environment is essential. The CFO will have a track record of success at cultivating meaningful relationships within a global finance organization. Analytical finance skills, including the ability to develop analyses, performance measures and incentives that drive efficient operations, are highly important. The successful candidate should be very proficient in spotting trends and interpreting data. Looks at data from different angles and asks the right questions to gain additional insights.

  • Business Partner. A strong commercial and functional orientation and a proven ability to partner with non-finance teams to drive and monitor performance and to develop strategic plans. He or she will be a strategic leader who can impact and change strategy beyond the finance area. Possesses change agility and mobilizes others in the organization to initiate change. Considers all factors to form the best overall solution for the company.

  • Execution and Conviction. Has well supported views and appropriately advocates while being open to ideas of others. Takes personal responsibility to ensure full execution.
