Job Summary
We are seeking a Bridge Designer to join TYLin's Bridge Sector. In this role you will be asked to perform design calculations, analysis and detailing of bridges. Within a team atmosphere we plan to foster your knowledge and get you prepared and well-placed to learn and grow!
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Perform engineering calculations and analysis for the design of reinforced/prestressed concrete and steel bridge structures.
Develop or assist in developing structural details and construction plans.
Successfully coordinate with CAD on a frequent basis
Prepare material quantity calculations.
Perform load rating analyses.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structures by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, Inc (EAC/ABET).
Master’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering preferred.
Engineer-In-Training Certification required. Eligibility and willingness to pass PE test within 1 year required.
Computer skills desired include Bridge Design Software, Computer Aided Drafting (Microstation Connect and OpenBridge preferred).
0-5 years of structural design experience - emphasis on bridge structures preferred.
Requires excellent communication skills, both written and oral, as well as interpersonal skills.
Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges.
High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.
Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.
