Dish Network Engineer II – Wireless in HORSHAM, Pennsylvania

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Engineer II – Wireless sought by DISH Wireless, LLC in Philadelphia, PA. Perform RF Design and Performance Optimization activities related to building Dish’s greenfield 5G broadband network in the US. The engineer must have proficiency with RF Planning tools to perform RF Design and RF Planning activities. Determine equipment and power configurations and perform predictions for the deployment of macro cells for the assigned area. Collaborate and support National RF gNB and RAN Subject Matter Experts in developing and implementing RF configuration solutions. Understand already developed link budgets and apply it in day to day RF Design activities. Perform site candidate evaluation and selection as well as site walks. Establish design criteria and traffic analysis as needed for network design. Have good understanding of RF performance parameters and work in a team setting to dimension and develop end-to-end network configurations as well as achieving optimal network performance for dish customers.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Requires Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field plus 3 years of relevant LTE/5G/VoLTE RF design and performance optimization experience in job offered or as an RF engineer.

Also requires 3 years of work experience using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):

  • Providing RF support to site acquisition and site construction team

  • Cellular/mobile technology including 4G or 5G and NR theory

  • Macro and small cell nominal and final RF designs, including development, operations, RF KPIs, and maintenance of RF link budgets for 3GPP Technologies

  • Propagation/planning tools such as planet or Atoll

  • Drive test data Post-processing, map generation, frequency planning, interference matrix analysis, and site database maintenance using tools such as WindCatcher, Actix, and Accuver

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $109,885.00/Year - $109,885.00/Year
