The innovative team at Robert Half is in need of a Senior Accountant with terrific experience and know-how for a long-term contract / temporary opportunity in the Real Estate & Property industry. Operating as a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant opportunity is located in the Honolulu, Hawaii area and will offer a great you a great detail-oriented experience along with attractive compensation. Your responsibilities in this role
Accurately record transactions into the general ledgers, and prepare financial statements.
Ensure all transactions, accounts, state and federal tax schedules are handled with precision.
Manage all aspects of Fixed Asset modules from placing assets into service, generating depreciation and amortization schedules, to reconciling with the general ledger.
Support other accountants in financial preparations and record-keeping, being a reliable pillar of the accounting team.
Lend a hand with cost center budgets and administrative detail budgets.
Compile comprehensive audit worksheets as needed.
Aid in crafting monthly project staff reports showcasing detailed revenue and expense figures, compared to the budget and prior year.
Assist with preparing the monthly reporting package to ensure transparency and effectiveness.
Diligently maintain cash receipts and sales journals.
Compute and record depreciation, expense accounts, allocations, and sales commissions; Prepare necessary billings.
Guarantee the accuracy of transactions and accounts by performing balance sheet reconciliations, reviewing sales contracts, and verifying closing statements.
Reconcile revenue and expenses to the minute detail.
Requirements
BBA in Accounting with 5+ years of related experience in a real estate or quantitative driven role.
Possession of a CPA license is highly regarded.
Excellent proficiency in Excel is a must.
Previous experience with JDE software is an advantage.
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems.
Competence with financial data analysis and report generation that is prompt and accurate.
Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience preferred.
Adeptness in journal entries.
Experience with fixed assets.
General ledger experience preferred.
