Global Technology Context
The Global Technology (GT) team at Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW) is on a multi-year journey to modernize technical and digital products and platforms across all business lines. This role demands a leader with a technical understanding of the range of resort operations technical products in solving complex business challenges. Success as a leader in recruiting, developing, and retaining technical talent on high performing teams is required. Specific Job Summary
Based at the Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW) Corporate Office in Orlando, FL, the Assistant Vice President (AVP), Global Field Technology Regional is responsible for shaping and executing the Global Technology strategy across a designated region. The role oversees Global Technology operations and infrastructure, ensuring seamless support for corporate locations (Regional offices, Call Centers), resort locations, and marketing and sales functions. The focus is on advancing technology initiatives that align with business goals, optimizing Global Technology processes, and effectively managing resources, including field services teams.
Collaboration is key, requiring close coordination with executive, site, and corporate leadership for daily technology support and project initiatives. This role involves managing third parties for transactional services (dispatch) and working with internal strategic partners in Global Technology. Additionally, it includes a business partner role with brand leaders. The role also holds Global Technology functions such as Enterprise Infrastructure network, server, telecoms, and application teams accountable. A deep understanding of back-of-house and guest-facing technology, as well as corporate business systems, is essential. This role ensures that technology is integrated smoothly across departments, enhancing overall operational efficiency.
This role highlights the necessity of collaboration between other Global Technology functions, as well as various business units within a hospitality organization, to ensure that technology strategies align with overall business objectives. By establishing strategic partnerships, this position is an internal business partner, going beyond traditional technical support to actively engage with other departments, fostering innovation, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing guest experiences.

Specific Expected Contributions
Provides Global Technologysupport following MVW Global Technology processes
Provide leadership, mentoring, direction, and guidance for the Field Services Management team.
Provides project support for new technology deployments and upgrades. May lead a project team.
Evaluate and make recommendations regarding technology/asset life cycles and deployment prioritizations.
Ensures that technology endpoints for Resorts, Marketing & Sales, and Corporate locations are supported within established guidelines.
Creates and ensures implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans related to technology support.
Ensures properties are securing and maintaining technology assets by MVW policies and standards
Possesses a strong foundation in resort, marketing, and sales center applications. Applies this knowledge to successfully cultivate the growth of Global technology Management associates.
Provide guidance and direction to the management team on escalated issues and action to resolve them.
Ability to use a personal smart cell phone for communication during and outside regular work hours.

Specific Candidate Profile
Education
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree that is technology based in information technology, engineering, computer science, or statistical/math sciences or equivalent work experience in technical disciplines.
Master’s degree, e.g., MBA or in Computer Science preferred.
Experience
At least 10 years of Global technology experience preferred.
At least ten years of senior management experience in a Global technology environment.
Experience in a multi-national, matrix structured organization preferred.
Experience in Hotel Management, Vacation Ownership, or Hospitality preferred.
