DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Human Resource Assistant 2, you will draft and participate in the BTA (Bureau of Talent Acquisition) Administration for the County's (230+) Human Service Agency Staff (Aging, Children & Youth, Drug & Alcohol, Behavioral Health/Intellectual Disabilities/Early Intervention/Autism, County Transportation System and other assigned staff within Human Services). Total Human Service Budget is approximately $15 Million. Work includes maintaining personnel files, confidentiality of files, and information contained within.

Additional duties to include: *Knowledge and understanding of Wayne County Government and the Office of Human Services duties, agencies and services. *Responsible for providing information to the public, attending job fairs, etc. and coordinating necessary paperwork to be distributed to prospective job applicants with review by administrator. *Meets with prospective test applicants, explains the application, testing and scoring process and answers general questions concerning the Bureau of Talent Acquisition (BTA) process. *Assists staff in completion of applications for promotions, etc. *Processes requisitions, postings and lists in BTA system. *Trains and orients new HSA staff as necessary, i.e.: supervisory, human services. etc. using lecture methods or training videos. *Conducts yearly or as needed staff refresher trainings for all HSA staff in areas related to personnel. *Performs other job duties as necessary.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience as a Human Resource Assistant 1; or Two years of clerical or other comparable experience, one year of which involved performance of limited technical duties in the field of personnel work; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
