Accounting Data Entry & Record Support Specialist Part Time One Holyoke Community Development Corporation is a not-for-profit corporation providing opportunities for low to moderate income people for 50 years. The position serves two sister non-profit entities: Riverside Development Corporation and The Elms, Inc., in addition to our flagship non-profit. The Accounting Data Entry & Record Support Specialist is a part-time position targeted to support our accounting department. In general, this clerical position supports our agency?s accounting department with an array of recurring tasks and special projects. Prior experience in an office environment, and the non-profit service industry preferable. Knowledge of accounting software, as well as familiarity with QuickBooks and the Microsoft Office suite are a plus. We are looking for a team member who is detail oriented and organized with the ability to prioritize projects and able to respond quickly and definitively to co-workers, vendors, and clients. Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities: Support the Finance Director with general record keeping and data entry including; ? Data entry support in company accounting systems. ? Ensure paper and digital financial record keeping is in good order. ? Record management to assist with preparation of annual agency budgets & audits. ? Assist with audits by government agencies, insurance companies & others. ? Insurance record keeping support. ? HR/Benefits record keeping support. ? Grant Management record keeping support. ? Other support duties required of the accounting department as they arise. ? This position will at times require supporting other company departments as needed. The candidate will demonstrate the following: ? Prior experience in an office environment, preferably with hands on bookkeeping experience & preferably in a non-profit service industry. ? Excellent work habits and interpersonal skills. ? A highly motivated self-starter, who works well independently. ? Detail oriented and strong organization skills. ? Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. ? Positive attitude and the ability to respond quickly and definitively to co-workers, senior management and third parties, including vendors and clients. ? Excellent written and oral communication skills. ? Demonstrated technical proficiency in using accounting software (QuickBooks is our primary accounting software) and the Microsoft Office suite.
