Job Title: Ammonia Refrigeration Technician
Job Description
Responsible for performing hands-on refrigeration technician duties to maintain our facilities' ammonia refrigeration process equipment and various systems. With assistance from the Process Safety Management Coordinator, ensure compliance with all PSM elements per governmental regulations. Perform mechanical duties to maintain the facility's boiler equipment and associated systems, and function as an active team member.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repairs on ammonia refrigeration equipment.
Ensure compliance with PSM elements per governmental regulations.
Maintain and repair facility boiler equipment and associated systems.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Conduct daily rounds to check compressors, vessel levels, and spiral freezers.
Perform preventive maintenance work on coils and defrosting equipment.
Conduct steam boiler checks, water testing, and spot checking heat exchangers.
Work on equipment located on the roof and in varying temperatures ranging from -30 to 110 degrees.
Essential Skills
1+ years of experience with ammonia refrigeration or boiler operations.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Clean driving record.
High School Diploma.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working third shift.
HVAC and industrial maintenance experience.
EPA certification.
Experience in the food industry.
Refrigeration license.

Work Environment
The shift is from 11pm to 7:30am, Sunday through Thursday, with a $1 shift premium. Overtime is available for 5 hours. PPE such as steel-toed boots, sockets, screwdrivers, and other tools are required. Safety glasses, cold weather materials, and power tools are provided. The work involves daily rounds, preventive maintenance, and repairs in varying temperatures from -30 to 110 degrees. There is an on-call schedule based on location and experience.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $70720.00/yr.
Boot/Tool Allowance ($120 every 4 months)
