Job Description
Our contractor will handle both emergency work and preventative maintenance as needed. The role includes approximately one hour of overtime daily and every other Saturday. Work over 8 hours a day and all Saturday hours are compensated at time and a half. Candidates must be strong in electrical troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance on all assigned plant equipment, including service, repair, or replacement of gearboxes, bearings, chains, belts, etc.
Ensure the mechanical and physical integrity of the production equipment.
Reduce production downtime resulting from mechanical failure.
Complete preventative maintenance measures on a timely basis.
Assist mechanics in machine repair and equipment troubleshooting.
Support 1st shift production departments for timely setups.
Properly and safely use maintenance shop equipment (drill press, lathe, pneumatic tools).
Complete assigned projects and follow all safety and housekeeping procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform bending, twisting, and standing tasks.
Work on baggers, pipes, augers, conveyor belts, food fillers, sealers, freezers, ink jet printers, etc.
Work directly with hydraulics and pneumatics, including repairing cylinders and solenoids and using blueprints.
Cover electrical issues, with a 70/30 split of mechanical vs. electrical work.
Essential Skills
Experience repairing hydraulics and pneumatics.
Industrial maintenance experience with conveyors.
Electrical repairs and troubleshooting 480volt/3phase.
Great attitude with a team mentality and positive outlook.
Strong attendance and reliability.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Food manufacturing maintenance experience.
Additional PLC experience is a plus.
Work Environment
This is a food manufacturing facility with five locations. The facility is clean, well-air-conditioned, and meets all FDA requirements. The specific facility is around 400,000 sq. feet, with 80% of it temperature-controlled at 55 degrees. Coolers are at 35 degrees, and freezers range from 0 to -10 degrees. Standard steel-toed boots with some liquid resistance are required. The team environment is strong, with employees always looking out for one another and helping wherever needed.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $67600.00/yr.
