Job Description Marketing Specialist Temporary Part-time 20 hours/week Remote Job Description Summary Reporting to the Executive Director of the Stevens Career Center the Marketing Specialist will help to improve marketing for a student-centered operation which serves an undergraduate and graduate population pursuing degrees in engineering, the sciences, business and management, the humanities, and the fine arts. Essential Responsibilities Develop and execute a new marketing strategy to increase undergraduate and graduate student engagement. Develop and execute a new marketing strategy for the Co-op Program to increase employer engagement. Train the marketing and events coordinator to carry out the new strategy. Monitor the results of a marketing strategy once its implemented and recommend ways to optimize the strategy for better results. Evaluate current marketing and recommend improvements. Gather information and key metrics, including target market insights, website traffic, social media engagement, and more to evaluate the effectiveness of a companys marketing efforts. Create marketing collateral for the spring semester. Create marketing for events career advising and employer engagement teams. Update the career centers website using effective communication to inform employers and students. Track marketing analytics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven recommendations for improvements. Assist with managing Handshake, the Stevens career management system. Provide support as needed for various projects, reports, research, and events. Contributes to the overall success of the career center by performing other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree required. At least four years marketing experience ideally working in a career center. A high level of professionalism and organizational skills Ability to handle multiple tasks with ease. Knowledge and Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint Use of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Mailchimp, or Constant Contact preferred. Intermediate or advanced knowledge of social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and Facebook. Experience using a career management system such as Handshake required.
