Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist
3rd Shift: 11pm-7am
Pay: $19 per hour starting pay rate
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Specialist who will be responsible for gathering, inspecting, packaging, addressing, and shipping materials. This role involves palletizing, boxing, and measuring incoming and outgoing products. The successful candidate will handle material flow for both inbound and outbound shipments, depending on the area they are assigned.
Responsibilities
Gather, inspect, package, address, and ship materials.
Palletize and box products for shipment.
Measure incoming and outgoing products using a tape measure.
Handle material flow for inbound and outbound shipments.
Operate forklifts and manual side loaders.
Use RF scanning for inventory control.
Pick, pack, and fulfill orders.
Stage products for shipment.
Maintain inventory control and reconcile inventory levels.
Assist with other tasks as needed and keep the warehouse clean and orderly.
Essential Skills
Forklift operation and material handling experience.
Proficiency in reading tape measures.
Ability to work in a machine shop type setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Willingness to learn additional roles such as saw operating, burn table, and grinding would be ideal.
Ability to assist with other tasks and maintain a clean and orderly warehouse.

Work Environment
This position is based in a steel shop with a focus on shipping and receiving. Employees are required to wear steel-toe boots. The shift is from 11pm to 7am, Monday through Friday. No certifications or medical exams are required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hixson, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
