Description:
To lead students toward the fulfillment of potential for intellectual, emotional, psychological and physical growth.
Responsibilities:
Reports to the Building Principal.
Plans a program of study that meets student needs.
Develops a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals.
Assesses the individual accomplishments of students on a regular basis.
Attends scheduled meetings.
Takes necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
Maintains accurate, complete and correct records.
Accepts responsibility for education activities as assigned.
Attends departmental and staff meetings as required.
Meets and instructs assigned classes and extra classroom assignments and responsibilities upon request of the supervisor or principal.
Communicates with parents and school counselors on pupil progress and maintains accurate and complete records.
