Job Title: Sustaining Field Service Technician (Front Half Night Shift)

Job Description

This role involves sustaining, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment onsite. The position requires the ability to wear a bunny suit and respirator, with the possibility of wearing a respirator up to 70% of the time. Responsibilities include working with dirty tools and around hazardous materials, with a heavier focus on troubleshooting (50/50 electrical and mechanical). The role supports installation and service to ensure the continuation and expansion of thermal management systems business.

Responsibilities

  • Sustain and troubleshoot large equipment and machinery.

  • Maximize output using constraint management techniques.

  • Maintain and address process and equipment issues.

  • Train and cross-train team members to build a self-sustaining team.

  • Regularly work with dirty tools and around hazardous materials.

  • Ask for help and use logic/resources to fix problems.

Essential Skills

  • Good problem-solving ability.

  • Self-starter capable of managing own activities as well as supporting team activities.

  • Basic math skills.

  • Computer literacy including MS Word, Excel, PPT, and Email.

  • Experience in service, maintenance, mechanic, vacuum, pumps, electrical, mechanical, troubleshooting, and repair.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate's degree preferred in technical, automotive/diesel, or related field.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 2+ years of electro-mechanical experience.

  • Experience with schematics is a plus.

  • Experience with hand tools/power tools and multi-meter.

  • Strong communication skills for working with both client and team.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Comfortable in a clean room environment and wearing clean room attire (bunny suit).

  • Must be comfortable wearing a respirator.

  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and standing for long periods of time.

  • Comfortable working with hazardous materials and chemicals.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hillsboro, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.75/hr.
