DISMANTLER (Highland Park)
We have an exciting position open for an Automotive Dismantler located in Highland Park!
*WHAT IS A VEHICLE DISMANTLER? *A vehicle dismantler is responsible for removing certain parts from vehicles to be processed for inventory.
*WHAT TYPES OF PARTS ARE USUALLY REQUESTED FOR REMOVAL? *All vehicles to be dismantled will have the following items requested for removal, Items include; engines, transmissions, transfer cases, axle assemblies, carriers, headlamps, taillights, radios, heat controls and anything else deemed sellable at the time of inventory.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have professional automotive mechanical/repair experience
- Must have Engine & Transmission replacement experience
- Must be able to dismantle an automotive vehicle for sellable parts
- Must be able to read and write English
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced Environment
- Must be able to keep a clean work environment
- Must have now Tools!! Air & Battery operated +1/2 & 3/8 Drive Sockets/etc.
- Must be able to work well with others
- Must be able to follow company processes and procedures
- Must be able to drive a forklift or willing to learn how to
- Must be dependable and have a reliable source of transportation and be on time Daily.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday -- 8-hour shifts
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Highland Park, MI: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
- Auto Parts: 2-3 year (Required)
- Automotive Mechanics/Repair: 2-3 year (Required)
