Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, Position Description Number D1953000 and is part of the HI 154 LRS, National Guard. LOCATION: 154th Logistics Readiness Squadron, Hawaii Air National Guard, Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii Responsibilities SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The purpose of this position is to provide advanced technical, instructional, and training support to upgrade skills to obtain maximum performance on all aspects of the Air Operations Center force level weapons system. Performs mission capability (MICAP) verification, reports and processes cannibalization actions. Establishes upgrade, downgrade, or cancels MICAP due-outs. Establishes requirements for customer using automated systems and notifies customer of asset availability. Processes Aircraft Document Review (ADR). Manages the DIFM listing, validates/updates DIFM listing with status by processing required transaction as necessary. Manages the Supply Point program. Manages the AWP program. Maintains Tail Number Bin (TNB) and Due-Out Release (DOR) point. Reviews Two-Level Maintenance (2LM) metrics listing and takes appropriate action to improve repair cycle time. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: If your resume does not include a narrative description of how you meet the GENERAL, SPECIALIZED experiences, and OTHER requirements, you may lose consideration for this position. Ensure that the Questionnaire is completed on Application Manager. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. Experience conducting searches for required information; reconstruct records for supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts. Experience performing various aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to segments in one or more major areas of supply management. Experience which required person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc. Consistent with the grade level determining duties in the position description, higher grade level specialized experience may include experience controlling supply stocks and accounting for equipment, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures. Completing complex supply transactions; and/or providing supply operations support. Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc. Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed. For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is primarily sedentary, however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of light items and/or files. No special physical demands required. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Typical work is performed indoors in an environment involving everyday risks. The area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. NOTES TO CANDIDATES: a. Situations of inversion of military rank are not permitted, i.e., a military technician may not be militarily senior to his or her full-time supervisor. b. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted only after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Hawaii National Guard. c. Candidates may be screened and evaluated on military attributes directly related to the compatible military position required to be assigned into, such as, but not limited to, military bearing, leadership, or ability to work with others (teamwork) in a military environment. e. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). f. This employer will provide the Social Security Administration (SSA) and if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) with information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization. h. Cost of living allowances (COLA) vary from island to island. COLA is subject to change without notice. l. This temporary limited appointment may be converted to a non-temporary appointment without further competition. m. If you are selected for this position, you will be eligible for health and life insurance and you will be covered under a retirement system. o. This type of appointment is expected to extend beyond one year, not to exceed 4 years. Separation will be preceded by a 30-day notice when services are no longer needed. Permanent technicians will remain on permanent status if selected. p. Selectee informed in advance of the reasons for and conditions of this temporary promotion may return to his/her former grade when temporary action is no longer needed and may be effected at any time without adverse action procedures. q. Temporary promotion may be extended for an additional two years, not-to-exceed four year, with National Guard Bureau approval. r. Should the need for temporary time limitations placed on this position no longer exist, the Temporary Promotion may be converted to a permanent action without further competition.
