UIC Government Services and the Bowhead Family of Companies Special Security Representative in Hickam AFB, Hawaii

Overview

Bowhead is seeking a Special Security Representative (SSR) to support the NEPTUNE HAWK (NH) planning team located in Honolulu, HI. The SSR supports a wide range of security requirements for specific compartmentalized and non-compartmentalized contingency plans and NH exercise requirements. The SSR will manage facets of a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) program including physical, personnel, information or industrial security. The SSR must understand the security posture of a SCIF and training of all personnel assigned to the NH team.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all equipment entering facility is authorized prior to entry.

  • Inspect existence and maintenance of magnetic media control log annually.

  • Ensure all visitors are signed in/out of facility; file visitor logs for 90 days.

  • Inspect the SF-701, Activity Security Checklist and End of Day Checklist and ensure they are completed daily.

  • Accomplish Self-Inspection Checklist annually and file in SCIF folder.

  • Test Emergency Action Plan and document annually; file plan in SCIF folder.

  • Conduct and document an alarm response tests.

  • Ensure all shredders, phones and alarm/IDS are approved by SSO PACAF.

  • Ensure all SCIF personnel are familiar with alarm authentication procedures/codes.

  • Report all security incidents.

  • Coordinate security related issues with PACAF Special Security Office (SSO) as required.

  • Monitor and report violations of Personal Electronic Devises (PEDs) and Cell phone Policies.

  • Update FFC/TEMPEST Addendum as needed and submit to PACAF SSO.

  • Ensure all SCI personnel participate in Security Awareness Education Programs.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a strong, demonstrated background in special access program (SAP) and SCIF/SAPF security procedures.

  • BA/BS degree or an Associates degree with 7 or more years of related information or industrial security experience.

  • Maintain a TS/SCI security clearance at all times and be Special Access Program (SAP)/STO eligible.

  • Ability to work and lead in a team environment with demonstrated experience in a range of security disciplines and excellent customer interface skills.

  • Good analytical skills and be able to operate in a demanding environment while executing multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Be proficient and skilled in the most current version of Microsoft Office software.

  • Strong verbal and written communications

Preferred / Desired qualifications:

  • Preferred candidate will have 2 or more years of experience in PACAF in a physical, personnel, information or industrial security role.

  • Air Operations Center (AOC) and/or MAJCOM/NAF Staff experience is highly desired.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance at this location.
