Snake River Manufacturing Field Service Technician in Heyburn, Idaho

The primary responsibility of a service technician is to travel to customer locations, remotely access equipment, perform, service and maintenance items on the equipment. Secondary responsibilities also include installation and testing of products, as well as providing customers with instructions and training on the proper usage of the product.

Skills/Qualifications:

Must have knowledge of electrical systems, both low voltage and line voltage, mechanical knowledge of moving parts, including gear boxes, sprockets and pulleys.

Must have knowledge of the function of hydraulic systems including hydraulic mechanisms and their specific function.

Must have knowledge of electrical micro-switching and video coaxial cable connections.

Must be able to weld and must have knowledge of wire feed welding procedures. Employee will be able to utilize welding systems in field settings.

Must have a current driver\'s license and must be insurable on Snake River Manufacturing auto insurance.

Must be able to read and interpret diagrams and blueprints for equipment repair projects.

Must be able to incorporate Snake River Manufacturing safety measures in work-a-day performance.

Must be able to exercise independent judgment and initiative without close supervision.

Must have the ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, specifications and drawings, use basic mathematics to make calculations, establish and maintain working relationships with factory engineers, parts department personnel, fabricators, assembly personnel, electrical technicians and paint department personnel.

The service technician must regularly lift and / or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 100 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of a service technician, employees are regularly required to use written and oral communication skills, read and interpret data, information and documents, analyze and solve problems, use math and mathematical reasoning, learn and apply new skills and work under intensive deadlines with possible interruptions.

Must be able to understand production responsibility to maximize throughput and quality.
