Sartorius Financial Accountant & Controller (F/H) in Herstal, Belgium
We are looking for a Financial Accountant & Controller (F/H) to join a dynamic team at Xpress Biologics – Part of Sartorius. This position is based in Herstal (Belgium).
As Financial Accountant & Controller (F/H), you will be responsible for the accounting, tax and statutory obligations of the local group companies while supporting the Head of Site in the controlling activities.

Accounting, tax and statutory obligations
On a daily basis, you will encode all the transactions in the accounting software (purchase and sale invoices, bank statements…) and prepare the payments
You will be responsible for the tax (VAT, income taxes (ISOC)…) and legal (NBB, STATBEL…) obligations
You will perform the monthly closings and prepare the group reporting of the entities
You will be the point of contact for the auditors
Controlling activities and business/management support
You will be in charge of the debt collection process and control over the net working capital
You will play an active role in controlling activities by taking part in the control over the sales, gross margin, overhead expenses, CAPEX…You will issue recommendations for improvement and contribute to their implementation
You will participate in the budgeting and forecasting processes
You will support the business with ad hoc analyses
You will be involved in the implementation of new tools, processes, procedures…
What will convince us:
Bachelor in Accounting/Master degree in Finance
Several years’ experience in fiduciary, audit or similar function within a large corporation
Excellent knowledge of Belgian accounting and tax standards. IFRS knowledge is a plus
Ability to work under pressure, organize and comply with tight deadlines
Autonomous, rigorous and team player
Mastery of the Office Suite including Power Query/BI
Fluent in English and French
