Job Description:
GDIT is seeking a Senior Director of Growth Strategy and Quality Assurance leader to help develop strategy and account planning, and also drive industry best practices, process excellence and quality within the Intelligence and Homeland Security (IHS) division’s Growth organization.
The successful candidate must possess the ability to work collaboratively with division leadership, line leaders and program management, business development, capture management, and solutioning and proposal staff, to increase focus on business strategy, increased probability of win for strategic pursuits, and use of best practices for increased quality of proposal submissions. This includes responsibility for identifying potential risk and areas for improvement, gaining consensus and buy-in on corrective actions, and implementing improvements in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
The location for this position is at GDIT IHS headquarters in Herndon, Virginia, with occasional travel for in-person support at other GDIT IHS offices in Falls Church, VA, Springfield, VA, and Annapolis Junction, MD for major proposal efforts.
The Senior Director of Growth Quality Assurance role assesses adherence and effectiveness of GDIT IHS business development processes and conducts process improvement activities based on these assessments. Additionally, this role will embark on assorted special studies dictated by business performance at the direction of the IHS Vice President of Growth, the IHS Division General Manager, or any line, growth or proposal function to support the success of the IHS division.
Responsibilities:
Partner with the IHS Vice President of Growth, the IHS Division General Manager, and IHS Sector Leads to develop IHS division strategy and strategic plans, and customer-focused account plans.
Conduct Process Assessments – evaluate the effectiveness of existing business processes, recommend process revisions, elimination of unnecessary processes or process requirements, and propose new potential processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness in support of business success.
Active Team Participation – contribute to working groups and pursuit teams to ensure firsthand understanding of execution issues as well as contributing to tactical success. These contributions will also develop and enable close working relationships and credibility with the key functional areas.
Conduct Independent Customer Assessments – obtain Voice of the Customer in support of Recompete Readiness and Mid-Course Review (MCR) process.
Perform Lessons Learned and Implement Lessons Learned Results - lead efforts to document and implement Lessons Learned, both at the conclusion of the capture / proposal process for key pursuits, and post-award decision and receipt of customer debrief.
Perform Special Studies – Lead or participate in special studies arising from analysis or directing by IHS division or GDIT corporate executives.
Required Qualifications:
The right candidate will possess a proven track record of supporting growth organizations in the successful winning and delivery of new and recompete business with:
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
A minimum of 15+ years industry experience in Federal Contracting
Leadership – the leadership ability to identify, launch, and when required lead, business improvement studies. These studies will often require working with any GDIT IHS business function including those outside of the IHS division.
Business Understanding – a comprehensive understanding of all facets of the business. Special studies and analysis will require a thorough functional understanding of finance, sales, marketing, project management, and strategy.
Business Acumen - an experience-driven adeptness at working cross-functionally, presenting to executives, working with partners, and achieving consensus, all based on an acute focus on organizational success.
Strong analytical as well as verbal and written communications skills
Experience in building and facilitating highly effective teams
Proven interpersonal skills to lead in a matrixed environment and global marketplace
Demonstrated ability to lead people to achieve very high-performance standards
Experience developing, implementing or enhancing effective and cost-effective business development, capture and proposal processes, methodologies and tools for a growth organization
Experience in delivering formal business development, capture and proposal training curriculum
Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Poly level security clearance

The likely salary range for this position is $212,500 - $287,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
