Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit Speech Therapist (#4997) in Herndon, Pennsylvania
Speech Therapist:
Herndon, PA
Part time itinerant position. The speech therapist for special education services will be responsible for providing evaluations and therapy to eligible school-age children, consultation to staff and completion of necessary paperwork. Work settings include CSIU and district classrooms and in-home therapy within the Line Mountain Area School District.
Hourly rate is $38.21 to $49.13 hour dependent on education and experience. Position is non-benefits eligible working a maximum of 24 hours per week and following a school year schedule.
Education requirements include:
- Minimum requirement is a Master's degree in the area of speech/language.
- Valid Pennsylvania Speech / Language Impaired teacher certification;
- Currently holding or in the process of obtaining, a Pennsylvania state licensure as a Speech Therapist.
- Experience with early language development and preschool children is required.
Good interpersonal skills, excellent organizational / time management skills and knowledge of typical child development.
