Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Regional Vice President (RVP), you will be responsible for developing and implementing an oncology service line business plan meeting the needs of the cancer patient during the entire continuum of care, driving profitable oncology service line growth, and improving operations in terms of quality and processes.

You will serve as the regional leader to provided direction and support for the on-going development of a comprehensive oncology service line for HCA’s Far West Division. In partnership with key division colleagues, hospital administrative teams and physicians, conceives and develops strategy, promotes operational standards, and ensures that cancer services are coordinated across the division

  • You will ensure that the strategies, priorities and operations of all facilities are aligned and complementary, ensuring a system approach to oncology services within the Division

  • You will assist with physician recruitment activities and attend medical staff meetings and/or medical staff committee meetings as assigned or requested. Inform appropriate Division/facility colleagues of proceedings at meetings attended and recommends action, as necessary

  • You will represent the division/facility by membership in related professional and community associations. Supports community projects and agencies

  • You will engage national, division, and facility service line leaders, quality, physician sales, managed care, and supply chain to plan for emerging trends in terms of clinical protocols, technology, reimbursement, medical management, and supply utilization

  • You will identify and documents oncology best demonstrated practices from across the company, group, or Division and facilitates the communication of these BDP’s to Division facilities

  • You will collaborate with decision support and IT to develop tracking and reporting mechanisms to monitor the progression of oncology service line development across the Division

  • You will manage service line development, implementation and management activities, including: Facilitation of the planning process and implementation activities with Division and facility leadership

  • You will participate in the annual budgeting process and demonstrate improvement of service line profitability (e.g., cost structure)

  • You will assist the facilities’ evaluation and purchase of diagnostic and treatment equipment, ensuring equipment standardization and “best pricing opportunity”

  • You will monitor and ensure service line quality (e.g., clinical outcomes, credentialing/privileging, processes, services, satisfaction) aligns to division/market and national quality standards and best demonstrated practices

For this position, you must have:

  • A Bachelor’s College Degree (4 year program)

  • 5 - 7 years Partner management, strategy or corporate development experience including solid history of relationship growth success

  • 1 - 3 years Oncology operations experience

It is preferred that you have:

  • A Master’s Degree (1-2 year program)
