Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Henderson, Nevada

Description

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing slot revenue operations, ensuring accurate reconciliation of accounts, resolving variances, and leading a large team of revenue auditors. While gaming industry experience is highly preferred, candidates with strong reconciliation and management expertise, particularly in investigating variances and leading teams, will also be considered. The Accounting Manager will assist on a 3–6-month contract that is located in Henderson, Nevada. Must be available to work weekends.

Key Responsibilities for the Accounting Manager:

  • Slot Revenue Accounting:

  • Oversee daily accounting operations related to slot revenue.

  • Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts, investigating and resolving variances when required.

  • Review audits for compliance and process adherence, providing strategic insight into improvements.

  • Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of revenue auditors, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure team goals are met.

  • Manage workloads effectively and address escalations, ensuring all processes run smoothly.

  • Systems & Compliance:

  • Manage reporting and reconciliation.

  • IGT systems (preferred experience).

  • Ensure full compliance with gaming industry regulations, local laws, and corporate policies.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address discrepancies and align reporting standards.

  • Process Improvement & Analysis:

  • Investigate variances between accounts and implement corrective action plans.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend changes for efficiency and accuracy.

  • Work cross-functionally with finance, IT, and operations teams to optimize accounting workflows.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a management role.

  • Gaming industry experience and familiarity with IGT systems (highly preferred).

  • Extensive experience in reconciliations and variance investigations (required).

  • Leadership: Strong track record in managing and developing teams in high-volume environments.

  • Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
