APEX TRANSPORTATION INC Journeyman Diesel Mechanic in HENDERSON, Colorado
Wage: 18.00 - 28.00 per hour
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have Class 8 Tractor Technician or have adequate trade school training and experience; Must have a valid driver's license but prefer a Commercial Driving License (CDL) or capable of acquiring a CDL within six months of date of hire; Must be a team player, hard worker, reliable and ability to work flexible schedules; Must have brake certification and have all qualifications to perform DOT inspections; Must have adequate tools to perform duties assigned; Must be familiar with VRMS codes; Must have adequate computer skills to perform duties assigned; Welding and fabrication skills; Other duties assigned. HS Diploma or GED 23 years of age
RESPONSIBILITIES: Repair and maintain all systems of a Class 8 Tractor and Trailers; On call at any given time and able to go out on service calls; Perform DOT inspections; Replace clutches, brakes and tires as necessary; Perform electrical diagnosis; Test drive equipment and perform drivability tests; Transfer tractors to dealers for maintenance warranty issues; Diagnose engine problems and repair as needed; Communicate with drivers to address maintenance issues; Perform preventative maintenance; Perform diagnosis with various engines.
