This EMS Licensing Specialist position works in the Emergency Medical Systems unit. This position works closely with EMS Agencies to ensure compliance with EMS regulations, use of the online licensing management system, and develops and provides online and in-person education on compliance with state data reporting requirements. On-sight inspections are conducted to ensure compliance and safety regulations are met. Because this position requires significant travel, the successful candidate must have excellent communication, time management and correspondence skills. Qualifications for this Career Opportunity * * * Knowledge of Emergency Medical Service Systems * Knowledge of electronic patient care record systems * Skill in developing training material and program content * Skill in public speaking * Ability to work in a fluid, flexible, and fast-paced environment * Ability to operate a personal computer and general office equipment as necessary to complete essential functions including using word processing, database, and e-mail, internet and other computer programs * Meet minimum qualifications: o Bachelor’s degree in health science, health education, behavioral or social science, or a related field o Two years of job-related experience in emergency medical services or law enforcement o Other combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis * * How to Apply To be considered for a DPHHS position, submit the following required documents with your application on the State of Montana Careers website.
