Roles & Responsibilities of the Shift Leader:

· Product Quality and ingredient variation/adjustments​

· Review and Verification of QCPs for completeness and sufficient corrective actions.​

· Ensure process accuracy throughout the operational value chain.​

· Management of production/dough Schedule​

· Labor management/utilization​

· Team development​

· High level knowledge of all processes (working towards SME)​

· Shift Waste and KPI reporting​

· Understand and application of Lean tools in problem solving​

· Communication with Departmental managers of shift issues RCA and CA​

Metrics Measured for this Role:

· Safety​

· Near Miss, lost time, and recordables​

· Quality​

· Complaints, SQF, Customer audits,​

· Cost​

· Waste, OT%, Efficiency, and material cost ​

· Delivery​

· Customer Fulfillment​

Preferred Certifications & Education for This Role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain and operations management, or related field.

  • At least five (5) years’ experience in food manufacturing supervision

  • Six Sigma Green belt and or Black Belt certification
