Gummer Wholesale Maintenance Technician in Heath, Ohio
IMMEDIATE OPENING! Are you a Jack-of-all-Trades? Gummer Wholesale, Inc. (GWI) is looking for a Full Time Maintenance Technician for our Heath, OH Distribution Center. This is a one-person position so our ideal candidate will need to be extremely reliable, self-motivated, have an eye for detail and completion, and come with a variety of skills and experience to tackle issues within the DC. GWI provides convenient store inventory to customers in Ohio, and West Virginia- and we're growing! This is a full-time day-shift position, Monday-Friday. Gummer Wholesale, Inc. has been a stable family-owned business for over 70 years.
- Maintenance of facility equipment and manage preventive maintenance program.
- Ability to troubleshoot and assess root-cause when issues arise.
- Working knowledge of electrical motors and wiring
- Working knowledge of plumbing & related tasks
- Minor construction, wall repair, painting, etc. Some projects may require the use of a lift and working overhead.
- Limited off-site projects in the general area
- Primarily indoor facility maintenance but will include grounds work as needed.
- Ability to work independently most of the time and with others if the project requires a team.
- Excellent attendance and reliability are a must.
- Rare on-call. This is a facility maintenance position so nights, off hours, and weekends may be needed from time to time.
- Ability to direct and work closely with outside contractors and/or outsourced jobs as needed.
- Prefer 5 years of solid, direct experience but not required.
- Must have a valid driver license.
