Job Title: Maintenance Manager: Paying Up to $130,000 a year
Job Description
The Maintenance Manager will oversee the management of all shop staff, ensuring the efficient utilization of all winery equipment, and coordinate with other Managers for proper repairs and maintenance of all winery and Bottling Line equipment. This role focuses on preventative maintenance leadership and will primarily be based in Healdsburg, with occasional travel to other locations.
Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day workflow of Maintenance team members including time, attendance, work schedules, breaks, and lunches.
Assist with labor planning needs for the maintenance department.
Responsible for personnel management, hiring, training, development, evaluations, and discipline within the Maintenance Department.
Develop a cohesive team through interpersonal skills and lead by example.
Manage and implement required training of the team and ensure adherence to all policies, procedures, and governmental regulations.
Ensure adherence to Company policies and standards.
Ensure smooth and effective shift turnovers.
Facilitate the development of an empowered work team and mentor team members.
Facilitate a safety culture of accountability and engagement.
Have a hands-on approach to the maintenance work performed daily.
Perform a wide variety of skilled mechanic duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and modify mechanical equipment and facilities.
Manage work orders through the work order system.
Supervise the installation of new equipment.
Interact with vendors and assist in the correct ordering of parts to support maintenance work orders.
Put together a PM schedule for all line equipment with audit document sheets and signoffs and ensure adherence to that schedule.
Oversee maintenance of production equipment, buildings, utilities, forklifts, vehicles, and refrigeration equipment (including three bottling lines).
Plan jobs, projects, and equipment for repair and maintenance.
Collaborate with other department leaders to solve problems.
Effectively present topics to a group audience of direct reports, peers, or upper management.
Adhere to and provide input on the department budget.
Implement and monitor systems and programs in a cost-effective manner.
Code invoices for timely payment.
Ensure compliance with GMP procedures.
Communicate effectively through email, phone, or face-to-face.
Ensure adherence to all Safety Programs.
Complete special projects as directed.
Other tasks as assigned by Management.
Essential Skills
Technical or College degree preferred.
5+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing/production environment (winemaking industry preferred).
3+ years of experience supervising staff.
Experience and working knowledge of electrical systems and glycol systems preferred.
3+ years’ experience with maintenance management on bottling or automated processing lines.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Valid California driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean DMV record.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow through with projects.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proactive in problem-solving.
Ability to work independently without supervision, as well as part of large groups and teams.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel) to write reports.
Ability to accurately carry out written and verbal instructions.
Support and model all Company policies and procedures.
Knowledgeable in OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations.
Skilled knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tools, procedures, and safety.
Ability to maintain moderate to physical work in a variety of environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Technical skills: Dude Solutions, Digital Maintenance Software, proficient with Excel (formulas, tracking budgets).
Experience with electrical troubleshooting, PLC troubleshooting, and maintenance repair.
Familiarity with hydraulics, automated equipment, bottling equipment, and industrial maintenance.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
