JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Hazleton is seeking part time instructors for our Allied Health Programs.

Courses offered include but are not limited to; nurse aide, clinical medical assisting, phlebotomy, and pharmacy technician programs.

Programs may be offered during the day or evening. Instructors are wanted for the Hazleton, Danville, Hamburg/Reading area and counties of Luzerne, Schuylkill, Columbia and Lehigh Valley.

Requirements include:

  • Two to four years of instructional experience related to the field of instruction

  • Minimum of three years working in the health care field

  • At least one year of clinical experience in related field

  • Degree, certification and/or licensure in related field

  • A combination of education, training, and experience which would lead to the competencies required for successful performance of the positions essential duties may be considered

  • Must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be highly organized, motivated and result driven

  • For nurse aide instruction must possess or have the ability to obtain the Train the Educator (TTE) Nurse Aide Instructor certificate

  • Current basic life support (BLS) certification (preferred)
