About the role
The Water Treatment Manager is responsible for the monitoring of the island’s Sewerage Treatment Plant and associated reticulation network. You will be responsible for maintaining the effluent quality to meet environmental standards and the continued smooth operation of the wastewater systems. With naturally high standards, you will approach every task with devotion and pride.
Your day-to-day
• Safe operation of the Water Treatment Plant and Sewage Treatment Plant in accordance with best industry Practice.
• Obtain competitive quotations and maintain adequate stock levels of all operational parts, materials and chemicals
• Perform all daily laboratory sampling and testing at both the Water Treatment & Sewage Treatment Plants.
• Perform all preventative maintenance tasks for both the Water Treatment & Sewage Treatment plants as per Hardcat, best industry and as instructed by your supervisor to ensure plant reliability.
• Ensure both water treatment and sewage treatment plants are operation as efficiently as possible.
What we need from you
• Certificate III in Water Operations or similar relative qualification
• Queensland safety induction White Card
• In addition to building equipment and hand tools, you will have a working knowledge of industrial & domestic plant an equipment
• Valid driver’s licence for the state of Queensland
