Ascend Autism Community Outreach Coordinator in Hawthorne, New York

The Community Outreach Coordinator for Ascend Autism will serve as the face of Ascend, assisting with community outreach and education as well as fostering new relationships and future referral sources. You focus on community engagement as well as visiting and building professional relationships with referral sources, helping to grow our patient census. This position will be establishing and maintaining relationships while supporting our efforts to promote our services and building brand awareness.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver educational workshops and public awareness programs for referral sources and the community

  • Plan, implements and carry out activities targeted toward existing and new referral sources

  • Generating referrals for Ascend by building relationships with physicians, ASD diagnosing providers, hospitals, schools, daycares and other community resources

  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing referral sources through face-to-face contact and in person meetings throughout the community and assigned service areas

  • Develop Ascend Autism Quarterly Newsletter for parents and community referral sources

  • Create program informational brochures and PowerPoint presentations as needed

  • Promote services on Social Media accounts including but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram

  • Assist in the execution of marketing strategies to drive brand awareness

  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement creative community outreach campaigns

  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities

  • Capture and document marketing intelligence whenever possible, including monitoring competitor outreach/marketing activities

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners

  • Provide leadership for the agency event planning for events such as Teambuilding and Holiday Party in collaboration with staff feedback and collaboration

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years’ experience in Community Outreach or Marketing role

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Healthcare services experience (preferred)

  • Enthusiastic and outgoing personality that will engage with community partners, referral sources and potential client families.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with Management team, Support & Clinical staff, parents, and clients in a positive and constructive way

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as required for recordkeeping and documentation

  • Experience with Social Media platforms

  • Knowledge with Canva a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and sitting throughout the home and/or classroom.

  • Must be able to lift to 45 pounds at a time.
