We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join a growing team in Hawthorne. This is a Restaurant that has locations through multiple states, and a location at their headquarters as well. This role involves working closely with restaurant managers and the finance team to maintain the financial health of the company. Given the Company's fast paced culture and aggressive growth goals, this hire will be ambitious, curious, collaborative, and able to demonstrate a high level of self-awareness and accounting knowledge.
salary: $28 - $32 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: Bachelors
Responsibilities
Maintain the general ledger, reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts, and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.
Must have the ability to direct the efforts, quality and timeliness of all aspects of various business cycles (Revenue Cycle, Accounts Receivable Cycle, Accounts Payable Cycle, Inventory Cycle, Payroll and Treasury Cycle)
Accounts Receivable reconciliations with 3rd Partners
Good understanding of month-end process, including but not limited to preparation of financial statements, accruals, and journal entries, maintain reconciliation for all balance sheet accounts in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Lead and/or assist with the company's taxes and/or gather tax document
Assist with the preparation and filing of Sales & Use Taxes (Multiple States)
Perform all daily, monthly, and other periodic accounting and financial reporting in an accurate and timely nature.
Lead and/or assist with the company's financial annual audit in the preparation and liaise with external auditors during the audit process.
Reconciling inventory/cost of goods sold, as well as reviewing procedures and assist restaurants with inventory oversight.
