Job Title: Forklift Operator and Material Handler
Job Description
As a Forklift Operator and Material Handler, you will be responsible for moving materials throughout the warehouse by safely operating powered industrial vehicles such as forklifts and overhead cranes. You will retrieve and verify materials from inventory, construct skids, and prepare products for delivery. Additionally, you will load and unload materials from trucks and inspect inbound materials.
Responsibilities
Move materials throughout the warehouse by operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
Retrieve materials from inventory according to work instructions.
Verify the accuracy of materials by measuring and comparing product information on tags to work orders.
Construct skids and use shipping supplies to wrap and prepare products for delivery.
Tag materials, verify products against work orders, and perform last piece visual inspections.
Safely load and unload materials from trucks using cranes, forklifts, and side loaders.
Inspect inbound materials using measuring tape and calipers.
Prepare orders for shipment via common carriers, UPS, and customer pick-up.
Expedite orders and process received and shipped materials in the system.
Perform additional duties as instructed.
Essential Skills
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Warehouse and forklift experience directly related to the duties of the position strongly preferred.
Ability to safely operate powered industrial vehicles.
Ability to lift heavy objects up to 70 pounds.
Ability to read and understand English.
Team-oriented and dependable.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with metal fabrication.
Forklift certification.

Work Environment
This position is for the 2nd shift, working from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am, Monday to Friday. You will work in a 100,000 sq. ft. facility that is clean and open-spaced but not climate-controlled. Responsibilities include working both inside and outside to load and unload trucks in a fast-paced environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.20 - $28.70/hr.
